Santa Catalina, commonly known as Catalina Island, is actually just 22 miles from the Long Beach / Los Angeles coast. The Island is surrounded by some of the most pristine waters in the world. Travel time to Avalon, the island’s only city, can be done in as little as 15 minutes by air, or one to two hours by sea. |
| The most famous site on the island is the Casino ballroom. It has never operated as the kind of casino that Las Vegas is famous for, instead the building’s name comes from the Italian word Casino, meaning a place of entertainment. This art deco building is Catalina Island’s world-famous landmark. The circular ballroom upstairs has the largest dance floor of its kind in existence today. The ballroom hosted many of the big bands of the 1930s and 40s. |

Avalon Theater |
In the Avalon Theater downstairs, you’ll find remarkable murals, newly restored 1,184 plush seats and an original, working page organ. The Theater regularly shows feature films, but also doubles as a perfect venue for a masterful acoustic set during the festival weekend. |
| A perfect outdoor venue with the beautiful Pacific Ocean as the backdrop. An open, grassy natural amphitheater leads down to the stage that sits just in front of the beach. The music can be enjoyed both on land and in the water. There is a bar and concession area right next door, allowing all fans to soak up the music and the sun in a relaxed, Island atmosphere. |
